1. Introduction and Agreement
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the hire of party and event equipment from One Click Events ABN XX XXX XXX XXX (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing a booking through our website or by any other means, you (“the Customer”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking.
2. Booking & Confirmation
All bookings are made through our online platform at oneclickevents.com.au. A booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received and you have received a confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details — including event date, delivery address, and selected items — are correct at the time of booking. Changes to a confirmed booking may be accommodated where possible but are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
3. Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. All prices listed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
If payment fails or is reversed for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and withhold any equipment from delivery until payment is resolved.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 30 or more days before the event: Full refund of all amounts paid.
- 14 to 29 days before the event: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- Less than 14 days before the event: No refund is available. The full booking amount is forfeited.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account. To request a cancellation, please contact us at hello@oneclickevents.com.au.
5. Delivery & Setup
We deliver and set up equipment within the greater Melbourne metropolitan area. Delivery times are confirmed prior to your event and are subject to traffic and access conditions. You must ensure:
- Adequate vehicle access to the delivery location for our team and equipment.
- A responsible adult (18 years or older) is present at the venue to receive the delivery and sign off on the equipment.
- Sufficient power supply is available at the venue where required (e.g., for LED signs, photo booths, and lighting).
- The setup area is clear, dry, and on a level surface suitable for the hired equipment.
Any delays caused by venue access issues or failure to meet these requirements may result in additional charges or reduced hire time.
6. Equipment Care
All equipment remains the property of One Click Events at all times. The Customer assumes full responsibility for all hired equipment from the time of delivery until the time of collection. This includes:
- Taking reasonable care to prevent damage, loss, or theft of the equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions provided.
- Not modifying, disassembling, or attempting to repair any equipment.
Any damage, loss, or theft of equipment during the hire period will be charged at the full replacement value of the item(s). The Customer authorises One Click Events to charge the payment method on file for any such costs.
7. Liability
One Click Events holds public liability insurance covering the delivery, setup, and collection of equipment. However, once equipment is handed over and signed off by the Customer or their representative, the Customer assumes responsibility for any injuries, damage, or incidents arising from the use of the equipment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Click Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damages arising from or in connection with the hire of equipment, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or event cancellation costs.
8. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform obligations under these Terms where such failure is due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather events, floods, bushfires, pandemics, government restrictions, industrial action, or natural disasters. In such circumstances:
- We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your booking to an alternative date at no additional charge.
- If rescheduling is not possible, a full credit or refund will be provided at our discretion.
9. Privacy
We collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated to existing customers via email where a booking is active. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and any courts entitled to hear appeals therefrom.
